 After mounting the machine and hooking up the discharge pipe and necessary electrical connections, install the evacuation hose on the right side of the machine. Install a 1/2" NPT 90 degree street elbow into the evacuation fitting on the right side of the machine, then make sure that a brass Y strainer is attached onto the street 90 degree elbow. The Y strainer arrow should be pointing downward to effectively trap debris. Then install the evacuation hose into the fitting. It is imperative that all connections have a perfect seal. Use a good quality "Teflon" tape on all pipe threads. Lubricate the O-ring on the sight glass to facilitate easy installation and removal of the evacuation wands. Care should be used not to kink or coil the wands. They should be stored straight.
