Electrical and Plumbing

Electrical

The EVAC 7000 requires a 120V AC, 60-cycle electrical circuit. A 20 amp dedicated circuit is recommended for each machine. Electrical Hookup: A NEMA 5-15 type plug is provided for connection to any 120 volt, 20-amp GFI protected circuit.

A NEMA-type conduit box should be connected to a 120-volt, 20 amp source by a licensed electrician or qualified person that knows electrical codes. Note: Follow all national electrical codes or prevailing local codes and ordinances. Note: If alternate voltage or line frequencies are required by installation conditions, the unit must be factory equipped. Any unauthorized modification will void the warranty.

Plumbing

The plumbing requirements are basic. We recommend a 1" galvanized or copper pipe (not PVC) from the machine to your waste oil tank. The suction/discharge connection uses 1/2" NPT pipe female threads. Connection lines should be 1/2" NPT minimum ID hose. The overboard connection on the left side of the machine has a 1/2" NPT female thread. A 1/2" NPT single wire braid oil resistant hose should be used between the overboard fitting and the discharge pipe. Install a check valve between the flexible hose and pipe to prevent oil from draining back into the machine. If the discharge pipe does not run horizontal or uphill, the check valve can be eliminated. Photo #2 shows a typical installation.

The overboard system must be connected to an approved collection tank using proper plumbing techniques in strict compliance with all codes and regulations. See Photo #2.
